In this guide, we are going to demonstrate how to replace a burned out headlight bulb on a Ford Focus 2011. The process is simple and can be accomplished with a few basic tools.
Tools Required:
- New headlight bulb (H11 bulb is recommended for the 2011 model)
- A pair of protective gloves
- Phillips-head screwdriver or a small ratchet and socket
Steps:
Step 1: Remove the Headlight Assembly
Using the Phillips-head screwdriver or ratchet and socket, remove the screw situated at the top of the headlight assembly and gently pull the headlight towards you.
Step 2: Remove the Burnt Bulb
Wearing the protective gloves, turn the bulb counterclockwise and remove it from the socket.
Step 3: Insert New Bulb
Insert the new bulb into the socket (avoid touching the glass). Turn it clockwise until it locks into place.
Step 4: Reinstall the Headlight Assembly
Place the headlight assembly back into its proper placement and screw it back in.
Step 5: Test the New Bulb
Finally, turn on your car and check if the new bulb is functioning correctly. If it is, you've successfully replaced your headlight bulb!
